Pregnancy Testing

Care Net of Carbon County conducts a lab-quality test with a 99% accuracy rate, which can detect pregnancy as early as 7-10 days after conception. You will receive the test result during your pregnancy test appointment. Additionally, we will provide you with a pregnancy verification form that you can use when applying for insurance or Medicaid benefits. While a positive urine pregnancy test indicates pregnancy, it is essential to confirm it with an ultrasound to ensure the presence of a viable intrauterine pregnancy.

Limited Obstetrical Ultrasound Service

Upon receiving a positive result on a pregnancy test at Care Net of Carbon County, a member of our medical staff will offer you a complimentary ultrasound to confirm the presence of a viable, intrauterine pregnancy. The ultrasound aims to detect a fetal heartbeat within the uterus and determine your pregnancy’s progress, including fetal measurements and an estimated due date. Approximately 15-20% of pregnancies naturally end in miscarriage, and this information is crucial, as a urine pregnancy test alone cannot establish the viability of the pregnancy. Our ultrasound technician will provide confirmation, giving you certainty about your pregnancy.

The ultrasound verification is vital for making an informed decision about your pregnancy. It’s important to note that our ultrasound is not intended for gender determination or diagnosing medical conditions. However, we are more than happy to offer referrals to local physicians who can assist in those areas.

Take a moment to breathe and avoid panicking. While you can’t change the circumstances, you have the opportunity to consider your next steps, and we are here to provide support and assistance.

Options Counseling

Once your free pregnancy test and ultrasound are complete, our Medical Professional will provide you with information about all of your options and talk over any concerns you may have.
